Poker’s elder statesman Doyle Brunson has announced his retirement from World Series of Poker tournaments. The ten-time bracelet winner announced on Twitter that he had to “give in to Father Time”. This news comes only a few months after Brunson suffered a cancer scare. This was the reappearance of a malignant melanoma which has intermittently bothered the ‘Godfather of Poker’ throughout his adult life.
